Enjin & CoinSwitch Collaborate on In-Wallet Trading, Blockchain Explorer, and Cryptocurrency Payment Gateway for Games
Enjin and CoinSwitch have announced a threefold collaboration, which includes the integration of the CoinSwitch exchange platform into the Enjin Wallet, the launch of a custom-branded blockchain explorer for CoinSwitch platform users, and creation of an in-game payment gateway for Unity game engine.
30 April 2019, SINGAPORE — Enjin, and CoinSwitch have announced integration of CoinSwitch’s robust trading platform into the Enjin Wallet, enabling users to swap between more than 300 cryptocurrencies from 45,000+ possible trading pairs without leaving the secure wallet interface. The two fast-building companies have also launched a CoinSwitch-branded blockchain explorer powered by EnjinX, allowing users to seamlessly search, browse, and verify their transactions on the CoinSwitch trading platform in real time.
CoinSwitch has also announced plans to build an in-game cryptocurrency payment gateway for Unity, the world’s largest game engine. This will give Unity’s 4.5 million game developers the ability to accept over 300 cryptocurrencies through 27 mass-market platforms, including Xbox, PlayStation, Android, iOS, and Windows.
“At CoinSwitch, we believe that the gaming industry will play a crucial role in crypto mass adoption. Our partnership with Enjin, the leading player in this space, is an effective step that we are taking towards this,” said Sharan Nair, Senior Vice President at CoinSwitch.
By adopting CoinSwitch’s Unity-integrated payment solution, game developers will enable their players to use more than 300 cryptocurrencies to purchase gaming assets via in-game marketplaces. CoinSwitch will automatically convert those cryptocurrencies into Enjin Coin (ENJ), minting resource developers can use to create decentralized assets with the Enjin Platform and Blockchain SDK for Unity, such as in-game currency, characters, weapons, and accessories.
“CoinSwitch is an extremely innovative company that has successfully created one of the industry’s most robust cryptocurrency trading platforms,” said Maxim Blagov, Enjin CEO. “We are working together to provide increased utility for all of the cryptocurrencies they support, meanwhile further streamlining the adoption process for the increasing numbers of developers jumping onto the Enjin Platform.”
One month ago, Enjin released the Testnet version of their blockchain development tools, enabling game developers with no blockchain experience to create, integrate, and manage next-generation ERC-1155 assets on Ethereum Testnet. Thanks to Enjin’s partnership with Unity, the Blockchain SDK is featured on the front page of the Unity Asset Store, and Enjin has been listed on Unity’s partner page among industry leaders like Sony, Nintendo, Google, Microsoft, and Facebook. Just one month after its public release, the Blockchain SDK has already been downloaded more than 480 times, and the Enjin Platform has gained over 3,800 users.
To celebrate their ongoing collaborative efforts with Enjin, CoinSwitch is offering a special two-month grace period in which all trading fees will be waived on purchases of ENJ made via the CoinSwitch platform. This provides a great opportunity for developers adopting Enjin’s tools to save on fees while acquiring ENJ to use upon the Enjin Platform’s Mainnet launch.
CoinSwitch.co is a two-year-old cryptocurrency exchange backed by Sequoia Capital. It enables users to buy over 300+ coins by comparing rates across top exchanges like Binance, Huobi, HitBTC, KuCoin, etc. without having to create an account or do KYC. Additionally, users can send and receive funds to their own wallets without having to worry about storing it in a centralized exchange.
In 2009, Enjin launched the Enjin Network, a gaming community platform which boasts over 20 million users. In 2017 following a successful ICO that raised $18.9 million, Enjin began building a suite of blockchain products that enable anyone to easily create, manage, trade, store, explore, distribute, and integrate blockchain assets.
Comprised of the Enjin Platform, Explorer, Wallet, Beam, and other tools and services, Enjin’s tools enable game developers and studios to utilize tokenized digital assets as part of their acquisition, retention, engagement, and monetization strategies. The Enjin ecosystem is fueled by Enjin Coin (ENJ), an Ethereum-based cryptocurrency used to directly back the value of Enjin-powered blockchain assets. For more information, visit https://enjin.io.
